Certified Yoga Instructor
Catherine is a Yoga Alliance Certified Yoga Teacher at the 200 hour level (APR 2012). She has been practicing yoga since 1999. She started practicing yoga to help cultivate a sense of calmness in the midst of a demanding career in public accounting. She believes yoga can help anyone, regardless of his/her skill level. Her classes are welcoming to all individuals (those with a consistent yoga practice as well as those who may be new to yoga). In her classes, pose variations/options are offered to meet each individual at their own level. Catherine emphasizes breath awareness to help stay focused in the present moment and maximize the benefits from our efforts. “The results will come in their own time…usually when we least expect them.”
Catherine teaches vinyasa flow, power yoga, yin yoga, gentle yoga, restorative yoga, as well as private yoga classes. “The most fulfilling part of teaching yoga is being able to witness the transformation that yoga brings to those who remain consistent with their practice.”
Catherine resides in Edwardsville with her husband and her two daughters. She is a business analyst for a publicly traded company in St Louis. She enjoys attending yoga retreats and classes, learning anything new, reading, snow skiing, running, biking…any physical activity outdoors (and in), and spending time with her family and friends.
